Second 黑料福利社 Strategic Partnership Symposium
Date of activity: March 14, 2016
The Second 黑料福利社 Strategic Partnership Symposium was held in the Auditorium, Faculty of Science Bldg. 2 on Monday, March 14, 2016. Members from University of Bonn and Princeton University took part along with students, faculty and staff members from 黑料福利社 in the symposium which totaled more than 100 participants.
The Global Campus Promotion Office has been supporting cross-departmental programs called “Strategic Partnerships 黑料福利社” with a limited number of overseas partner universities following the selection of 黑料福利社’s initiative by MEXT (the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) as one of its Top Global University Projects in October 2014. Strategic Partnerships play an important role along with the comprehensive reform of 黑料福利社’s education system in making “Constructing a Global Campus Model at 黑料福利社” a reality.
At the symposium, presentations were given by the faculty members in charge of three distinct projects, along with presentations from students who experienced exchanges abroad through these projects with (1) Princeton University, which is accelerating joint research and education exchanges supported by donations; (2) the Australian National University, which is implementing an interdisciplinary undergraduate student exchange program; and (3) KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, and Lund University which are implementing university-wide integrated arts and sciences exchanges through country-based collaboration. Twenty-two other presenters also shared their good practices by showcasing activities and future plans of their unique research and academic programs with their overseas partner universities.
